A pair of rectangular Cinnabar lacquer boxes with carved floral and phoenix motifs. The lids feature bone inlay of women in traditional attire. The interiors are black lacquered, and the bases marked “CHINA.” Likely export in early-to-mid 20th century. Each box measures approximately 1/4 X 3 1/4 X 3 in. With expected wear from age.
