Original Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshige I, titled “Scene #3 – Chushin-Gura,” published by Senishi circa 1840. This richly colored scene features samurai figures in a castle setting with detailed architecture and foliage. The print is mounted on a mat measuring 15 inches in length by 20 inches in width. Overall age toning, light foxing to the mat, and edge wear consistent with age. A striking Edo-period composition from a master of ukiyo-e.
